Vaultforge Terms of Use
Last updated: July 27, 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and CLMS Studio LLC ("CLMS Studio", "we", "us"), covering Vaultforge — the web app at vaultforge.net and the services behind it. By creating an account or using Vaultforge, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use it.
Vaultforge is a collection-first deckbuilder for Magic: The Gathering's Commander format. These Terms sit alongside the Vaultforge Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect and why.
Accounts
Vaultforge requires an account with an email address and a password, so that your collection and decks follow you across devices. You must be at least 13 years old. You agree to give accurate information, keep your password confidential, and tell us promptly at support@clmsstudio.com if you believe someone else is using your account. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account.
Your licence to use Vaultforge
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Vaultforge for your own personal, non-commercial deckbuilding. We keep all rights not expressly granted.
You may not:
- Scrape, crawl, or bulk-download Vaultforge, or access it by any automated means other than an interface we provide
- Resell, redistribute, or republish Vaultforge's data, valuations, or recommendations as your own product or dataset
- Reverse engineer or decompile the service, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, other accounts, or our infrastructure
- Share, rent, or transfer your account, or use one account for multiple people
- Circumvent rate limits, usage caps, or the limits of the free tier
- Use Vaultforge to break the law, infringe anyone's rights, or interfere with anyone else's use of it
Your collection and deck data
The collection and decks you build are yours. You grant CLMS Studio a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, and process that data for the purpose of operating Vaultforge — storing your collection, syncing it across your devices, computing valuations, and generating diagnostics and upgrade recommendations for you.
You can edit or delete individual cards and decks from inside the app at any time, and you can delete your whole account and everything tied to it by emailing support@clmsstudio.com. See the privacy policy for the detail.
Free tier and paid plan
Vaultforge has a free tier you can use without paying. A paid plan unlocks additional features and higher limits.
- Vaultforge Pro — $3.99 per month, renewing every month
- There is no free trial. Vaultforge Pro is charged from the moment you subscribe — the free tier is how you try Vaultforge before paying for it
Automatic renewal. The paid plan is a subscription. It renews automatically at the end of each billing period, and your payment method is charged the recurring amount above, until you cancel. There is no separate action needed to renew, and renewals continue indefinitely until cancelled.
Cancelling. You can cancel online at any time — Vaultforge opens Stripe's billing portal for you from inside the app, where you can cancel, update your card, and view invoices. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period: you keep paid features until then, and you are not charged again.
Refunds. Payments are non-refundable, and we do not refund partial billing periods. If you cancel part-way through a month, you keep Vaultforge Pro until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you are not charged again. This does not affect any refund or cancellation right you have under mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence.
Price changes. We may change the price of a plan. We will give you advance notice, and any change applies only from your next renewal — you can cancel before it takes effect.
Failed payments. If a payment fails, we may retry it and may suspend paid features until it succeeds. Prices are exclusive of any taxes we are required to collect.
When a paid plan ends. Your account, your collection, and your decks remain — cancelling does not delete your data. Paid features and higher limits stop at the end of the period you have paid for, and the account returns to the free tier.
Payments and Stripe
Payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe stores and handles your card details — Vaultforge never receives or stores your full card number. We keep only the customer and subscription identifiers Stripe gives us so we can recognise your plan. Your use of Stripe's checkout and billing portal is also subject to Stripe's own terms and privacy policy.
Card data, prices, and valuations
Card data and pricing come from Scryfall, a third-party Magic: The Gathering data service that we do not control and that is subject to its own terms. Card availability, printings, and prices change constantly.
Valuations are estimates, not appraisals. The values Vaultforge shows — for a single card, a deck, or a whole collection — are derived from third-party data, may be out of date or wrong, and will not match what a card actually sells for. Do not rely on them for insurance, tax, resale, or any other financial purpose. Nothing in Vaultforge is financial or investment advice. Upgrade recommendations are suggestions generated from your collection and public card data, nothing more.
Magic: The Gathering and Wizards of the Coast
Vaultforge is unofficial fan content. It is not affiliated with, endorsed, sponsored, or approved by Wizards of the Coast LLC. Magic: The Gathering, the Commander format, card names, and card images are property of Wizards of the Coast LLC, a subsidiary of Hasbro, Inc. Vaultforge claims no ownership of them.
Availability and changes to the service
We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of Vaultforge, including features on the free tier and on a paid plan. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of data loss — keep your own copy of anything you can't afford to lose. If we discontinue Vaultforge entirely, we will give reasonable notice, stop charging for it, and give you a window to export your data.
Termination
You may stop using Vaultforge at any time; email support@clmsstudio.com to delete your account and its data. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if we are required to by law. On termination your licence ends; the sections on intellectual property, disclaimers, liability, and governing law survive.
Disclaimers
Vaultforge is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, and we do not warrant that the service, its card data, or its valuations are accurate, complete, or current.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, CLMS Studio is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or loss of goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of Vaultforge — including any decision you make to buy, sell, or value a card.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to Vaultforge is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) US $50.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so parts of the two paragraphs above may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence, or our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
Privacy
What we collect, how we use it, and how to delete it are set out in the Vaultforge Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. You and CLMS Studio agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Prince George's County, Maryland for any dispute arising out of these Terms, except where the law of your country of residence requires otherwise.
Changes to these terms
If these Terms change, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised, and the current version always lives at this URL. For material changes we will give notice in the app or by email. Continuing to use Vaultforge after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
