Gratify Privacy Policy

Gratify is a tip calculator and bill splitter that runs on your devices. There is no account to create. CLMS Studio runs no servers for Gratify and receives none of your data — what you enter stays on your devices and, if you turn on iCloud sync, in your own iCloud account.

What Gratify does NOT collect

Gratify does not collect, or send to us or to any third party:

• Your name, email, or contact details
• Your bills, receipts, or what anyone owes
• Any analytics, telemetry, or tracking
• Advertising identifiers

Gratify has no advertising and contains no third-party SDKs, analytics providers, or advertising networks.

What's stored on your device

Gratify keeps the following on your device:

• Bill amounts, and your tax and tip settings
• The names you type for the people on a bill
• Items and their prices, and who paid
• Receipt photos
• Your bill history and saved groups
• Your preferences

Camera and photos

Gratify uses the camera only when you choose to scan a receipt. If you pick a photo instead, Gratify uses the system photo picker, so it sees only the photo you pick — never the rest of your library.

The text on the receipt is read on your device using Apple's on-device text recognition; the photo is never sent to us. The photo is kept with that bill.

iCloud sync

With Gratify Pro, you can sync across your devices. Your bills, receipt photos, and groups are then stored in your own private iCloud database through Apple's CloudKit. CLMS Studio cannot access it — only Apple does, under Apple's privacy policy, which covers iCloud.

Sharing

Gratify only shares when you ask it to. Messages and the share sheet open only when you tap them, and you choose what to send and to whom. Nothing is sent automatically.

Widgets, Apple Watch, and Siri

• Widgets, the Live Activity, and Control Center show your latest bill on your device only.
• Apple Watch. The Watch app is a standalone tip calculator. It keeps its last tip and party size on the watch.
• Siri and Shortcuts. Requests you make through Siri and Shortcuts are processed by Apple under its own privacy policy.

In-App Purchases

Gratify offers a one-time, non-consumable purchase ("Gratify Pro") through Apple's StoreKit. Apple handles all payment processing. CLMS Studio does not receive your payment details.

Deleting your data

• A single bill — swipe it in History to delete it.
• Everything on this device — delete the Gratify app.
• The iCloud copy — go to iOS Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → Gratify and remove it there.

Children

Gratify is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information about anyone — including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised. The current version always lives at this URL.
