What is an Arena, and how do I claim one?

Every real pickleball court in the app is an Arena. You claim one by checking in at that court and winning a verified match there. Once you hold it, your handle sits on that Arena until someone beats you at it — so holding is about showing up and defending, not just winning once.

The app won't let me check in at a court. What's wrong?

Check-in is geofenced — the app has to confirm you're physically at the court before a match counts. The usual causes are location permission set to While Using but denied precise location, being just outside the court's geofence, or a weak GPS fix indoors or between tall buildings. Open iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Paddle Wars and make sure Precise Location is on, then step onto the court itself and try again.

What's in Paddle Wars Pro, and what does it cost?

Paddle Wars Pro is an auto-renewable subscription: $7.99/month or $59.99/year. New subscribers get a 7-day free trial on either plan. It renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. See the terms of use for the full subscription terms.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are billed by Apple, so you cancel through the App Store, not inside Paddle Wars: iOS Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → Paddle Wars → Cancel Subscription. Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends to avoid the next charge. Deleting the app doesn't cancel it. Refunds are handled by Apple — we can't issue them.

My court isn't listed, or its details are wrong.

Court locations come from OpenStreetMap, an open map database maintained by the public and licensed under the ODbL. If a court is missing or wrong, the fix is to correct it on openstreetmap.org — the change flows through to Paddle Wars on our next data refresh. Email support@clmsstudio.com if a court looks right on the map but still won't appear in the app.

Someone cheated, or a match result is wrong.

Report it from the match itself, or from the player's profile. Moderators can void a match, reverse the rating change, and remove an Arena claim. Spoofing location, reporting matches that weren't played, colluding, and win farming all get accounts suspended — see the fair-play section of the terms of use.

How do I report or block another player?

Open the player's profile and use Report or Block. Blocking hides them from you and stops them contacting you; reporting sends it to us for review. Handles, display names, photos, and team names are moderated, and we remove content that breaks the rules.

Who can see that I'm online or at a court?

Only your friends. Your online / available status and any "up for a game" signal go to players you've accepted as friends, and they expire on their own — they're never public and never stored as history. Your precise location is never shared with anyone; the most another player sees is that you're at a given court, and only after you check in there.

How do I delete my account?

Settings → Delete account, inside the app. That removes your account and the personal data tied to it. If you can't get into the app, email support@clmsstudio.com from the address on the account. Deleting your account does not cancel a Pro subscription — cancel that in your App Store settings.

Does Paddle Wars write to Apple Health?

Only if you opt in. With permission, finished matches are saved to the Health app as pickleball workouts (duration and an estimated calorie burn). That stays on your device — it's never sent to our servers, and Paddle Wars never reads health data.
